Art history lecture to focus on works of Pablo Picasso
February 17, 2012 -- Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso, also known as Pablo Picasso, was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and stage designer.
He was also one of the most influential and controversial artists of our time, whose revolutionary artistic accomplishments brought him universal fame and immense fortune, making him one of the best-known figures in 20th century art.
On Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room, join Hudson-based art historian Felicia Zavarella Stadelman for a special presentation: “Through the Eyes of the Artist: Pablo Picasso.”
Using music, prints and powerful images to tell the artist’s story, Felicia will introduce you to this extraordinary man whose powers of invention and execution spanned more than 80 years. This program is free and open to the public with funding provided by the Laurel Lake Foundation.
