Starting Salary:  $45,696.00 - $68,544.00

 

(*This is based on 2080 hours.)

 

Accountant - $2500.00 Sign on Bonus (FT)

 (*Sign on Bonus Eligibility is based on your status at time of hire.  Status must be that of full time, working 40 hours per week. All sign-on bonuses are prorated and paid over 5 quarters.)

 

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounting responsibilities including but not limited to:  Month end close, financial analytics, Payroll tax payments and reconciliations, other duties as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum two years of accounting experience that includes general ledger responsibilities.

Health care experience preferred, but not required

Audit experience is highly preferred

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products

MatrixCare experience preferred, but not required

Forecast software preferred, but not required

 

PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Train as backup to Accounts Payable, Payroll and Billing (cash applications)
  2. Performing all task for the monthly close by 10th business day of the month
  3. Assist with preparation of work papers for the financial audit
  4. Compile data and complete input documents for Medicare cost report, compensation survey, and annual federal nonprofit tax returns
  5. Prepare year-end tax documents (w-2’s, w-3, 1099’s 1096)
  6. Perform statistical and financial analytics
  7. Research fiscal activity and analyze issues regarding transaction errors, benchmark analysis, and other operating statistics
  8. Preparation of monthly cash flow statements and cash projections
  9. Enter annual budget into accounting software
  10. Payroll deposits and tax filings on a bi-weekly, quarterly and annual basis
