ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES (ADON)
Starting Salary: $66,586.00 - $99,878.00
(** Based on 2080 hours)
Asst. Director of Clinical Services - $5,000.00 Sign on Bonus (FT)
(*Sign on Bonus Eligibility is based on your status at time of hire. Status must be that of full time, working 40 hours per week. All sign-on bonuses are prorated and paid over 5 quarters.)
SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Critically analyzes and evaluates types of facility resources needed to provide a clinical environment which promotes comprehensive, cost effective, quality care.
- Identifies conflict situations involving residents, families, or staff and attempts to negotiate a resolution.
- Functions as a representative on the Leadership team, Resident Review Team, and other Laurel Lake committees as assigned.
- Functions as the Risk Management nurse
- Accountable for development and maintenance of major clinical systems such as wound care, etc. Completes necessary MDS sections.
- Demonstrates proficiency as a manager by making decisions proactively, being flexible, creating a calm environment, and seeking assistance when needed.
- Examines schedule for appropriate staffing requirements
- Conducts chart reviews on all new admissions for complete documentation
- Monitors customer service to ensure that systems and policies/procedures are appropriate for staff and residents.
- Assists Manager of Clinical Services with interviewing, hiring, orienting, and counseling of staff when needed.
- Promotes staff compliance with requirements of federal, state, and regulatory agencies.
- Oversees physician notifications and communication.
- Accepts responsibility to oversee and discipline staff as is appropriate.
- Review payroll timesheets for Nursing Staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/LICENSUSRE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Ohio
EXPERIENCE:
Five years relevant clinical experiences with two years of management experience in a long-term care setting
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Evidence of leadership, teaching communication and interpersonal skills, with documentation of professional development.
