Front Desk Receptionist / Part Time / 1st Shift

*** This position would be Part time (18 hrs. per week/36 hrs. per pay) working two days per week and every 4th Saturday of the month.
SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Front Desk Receptionist performs receptionist and clerical duties to assist the administrative staff and residents of Laurel Lake.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Greet and assist residents, visitors, and staff in a pleasant manner
- Answer incoming calls (7-line switchboard) and direct to the proper department, deliver messages and page staff when necessary
- Sort and distribute mail, log parcels and place on appropriate shelf, notify resident and forward resident mail when appropriate
- Respond to SARA emergency call system and fire alarms
- Perform clerical and typing assignments for departments and residents upon request and upon approval of Executive Assistant
- Receive daily medications, log on sheet, SARA to resident
- CATIE tablet-trouble shooting; assist residents when necessary
- Have knowledge of postage machine, how to weigh packages, apply proper postage.
- Reconcile postage and stamp sales, shipping and other items (copies/faxes, etc.)

Some Secretarial training preferred
