Pay Rate:  $12.24 - $18.36/hr.

 

 

Groundskeeper - $2500.00 Sign on Bonus (FT)

 

(*Sign on Bonus Eligibility is based on your status at time of hire. Status must be that of full time, working at least 40 hours per week for the $2500.00 bonus.  All sign-on bonuses are prorated and paid over 5 quarters.)

 

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Through direction of the Groundskeeper Coordinator help maintain existing on-resident campus grounds and plantings. 
  2. Help plant, water, dead head and fertilize to maintain existing flower gardens in high profile areas and other campus areas.
  3. Must operate all Laurel Lake vehicles and landscaping equipment during the course of required job duties, in a safe and efficient manner.  This includes preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  4. Must work with residents as a liaison for requested private work orders.
  5. Monitor the campus exterior for safety issues and trash pick up.  Help maintain bench cleanliness once a week and blow off hardscape areas as required by the Groundskeeper Coordinator.
  6. Assist in being responsible for the snow and ice removal process in the winter and acquire and maintain appropriate equipment.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Good communication skills.

Good hands on people skills.

 

EDUCATION:

High school or equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE:

1-2 years experience in Horticulture or related field.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Must be familiar with the field’s concepts, practice and procedures.
