Maintenance Mechanic I / FT opportunity / 1st shift

 Pay Rate:  $17.69 - $26.53/hr.

  

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Maintenance Renovation Team, Grounds Team and Maintenance Mechanic II’s in building maintenance, both interior and exterior.  Perform minor building maintenance repairs per requested work orders.  Assist in emergency situations. Work overtime as required and is "on-call” per schedule.  Will work one weekend day a month or as required

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Complete repairs to facility as described in job description. Including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and basic trouble shooting on different facility mechanical systems.
  2. Complete work orders associated with resident requests in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Assist other mechanics and respond to emergencies as needed.
  4. Completes scheduled and unscheduled duties, returns phone calls and performs "On-call" duties. Attends all mandatory meetings.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Good communication skills.

Independent thinker

 

EDUCATION:

High school or equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Trade school or vocational school in field a plus.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:  A general aptitude for all trades and a basic comprehension of systems and processes associated with building upkeep and repair.
