New Year will bring enhanced cable TV,
Internet services to Laurel Lake

December 7, 2010 -- Laurel Lake has announced plans to offer enhanced cable television, telephone and Internet services in 2011, and to install a new type of campus-wide emergency call system.

Replacing the community's current satellite TV system, basic cable television will soon be provided in resident homes by Time Warner Cable (included in monthly service fee). Residents will have the option to add services such as high definition digital, DVR, premium channels and On Demand pay-per-view services.

Residents will enjoy faster broadband Internet access in their homes with Road Runner High Speed Internet at a low monthly rate, with optional wireless home networking.

The installation of a new, state-of-the-art wireless emergency call system will allow residents to summon help anywhere within Laurel Lake's 150-acre campus. The community will also be able to send emergency alerts (such as severe weather warnings) to resident telephones at the touch of a button.

Laurel Lake Retirement Community is the smart choice for discerning adults who wish to continue leading active lives filled with a variety of interests, including work, volunteering, travel, fitness, cultural and lifelong learning pursuits.
