SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures equipment and machinery remain in optical working condition through routine inspections, servicing, and repairs to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Helps to inspect, maintain, repair, and test Life Safety Equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs routine inspections and servicing of machinery and equipment
- Follow planned preventative maintenance schedules
- Identify potential problems and issues before they escalate
- Cleaning of equipment, oil/lubricate moving parts, record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts
- Train staff on proper use of new equipment
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and test Life Safety Equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Good communication skills.
Good hands on people skills.
Independent thinker
Able to guide and teach less experienced staff.
EDUCATION:
High school or equivalent. A completion of trade certification a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
Five + years of building and equipment maintenance, preferably in the healthcare field
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Must be generally skilled in all trades associated with building upkeep and routine preventive maintenance.
PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Must keep license and certifications current.
